In order to make the customers have more options for the products with less tip-out quantity, the company develops multiple data mask (MLM) patented process. MLM service is to put the multilevel data into the same mask. Comparing with standard plate making, MLM service can lower about 3/4 plate making cost. In addition, comparing with MPW, the customer can get the whole wafer, not crystalline grain. So, the tip-out quantity of silicon wafer can greatly decrease.

MLM is the best choice for design or IP verification. Because it is unnecessary to wait for other customers and there is no time limit for shift schedule, MLM is of flexibility and mobility comparing with MPW.

MLM can be only used for engineering development and cannot be used for volume production.
